Dying GentlyI'm lying in my bed thinking of you. I want you to just to leave me alone. When will you ever allow my thoughts rest? I'm so sick of hating you. I take another puff off my cigarette; it tastes so damned bad. I want to gag, I don't inhale it. I open my mouth and watch the clouds of blue and grey hover above me. I wish it was my soul, fill me with the smoke. I breathe in, the smoke comes back. It's so easy, it's like you, every time I breathe, you're right back with me.

Choke.I have decided to write a new story.
--------------- I hate breathing. I feel so tired when I do. Does this mean I'm lazy? It just takes so much effort. I wonder, could I tell my brain to stop breathing? I get up and look at the clock. The numbers fade away and I can't see them. I move closer and stub my toe. Why doesn't it hurt? Why can't I see these numbers? They're so far away. This room smells funny, kind of like people, only it's been washed away; washed out. My back itches and I can't reach it, but I don't care; I'm trying to forget how to breathe.
